Chinese American Pathologists Association (CAPA 全美华人病理协会) is the voice of the Chinese American pathologists practicing in the United States and Canada, pathologists in training as well as investigators in biomedical research. The organization was originally founded as Hua Tuo Society of Pathology (HTSP, 华佗病理学会) in March, 2003, in Washington, D.C., and the name was changed to the current one in February, 2006, in Atlanta. CAPA has over 300 members, including many nationally and internationally known pathologists. in North America and other parts of the world. Since it was founded, CAPA has striven to accomplish its mission, ie, to improve educational opportunities and professional skills of practicing pathologists of Chinese ethnicity, to promote communication, friendship and cultural exchange, and to advance the science and practice of pathology and laboratory medicine.
